As an editor, helped direct coverage of the 2016 ambush that killed five Dallas police officers – coverage that was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News Reporting. Other editing roles include supervision of a digital-first breaking news desk, government and political reporting, feature writing, investigative projects, and a nationally recognized religion section.
